The Giving Garden is an intergenerational ministry that provides free vegetables to our food pantries and offers many opportunities for fellowship and service for those who participate.
Beginning in early March, families plant seeds and foster those seedlings in their homes until garden planting time in May. In a typical season over forty people serve this ministry in a variety of ways including: growing seedlings, composting, planting in the garden, weeding, watering, harvesting, and delivering the harvest to those in need.
In June and July we offer a Growing Gardeners program where children join us in the garden to learn how to grow and nurture vegetable plants and how to harvest and prepare the vegetables. In the Giving Garden it is our mission to be good stewards of what God has created and to share God’s love and bounty with others.

Fairbrook Elementary School, Beavercreek, Ohio
St. Andrew has connected to Fairbrook Elementary so that we can “cross the bridge” both ways to work together to support children and families in our community. We come together for events both at the school and at the church to support each other and get to know each other! We offer our space for children’s choir and Godly Play at the church, as well as, assistance for leadership training for the incoming fifth graders and Kindergarten assessments each year. Daily through the school year we go to the school to tutor students in multiple grades.
Wesley Community Center
St. Andrew supports the Wesley Community center in several ways throughout the calendar year. At the start of the academic year donations of school supplies are given to several Wesley families. St. Andrew also participates in the October Wesley Baby Shower with maternity baskets and gifts for this event, as well as, the Christmas holiday season with gifts and food for several Wesley families. Monthly donations are also made to the Wesley food pantry and financial gifts as needed to support Wesley programs.
